Riding your own dirt bike offers you the most sought after sporty look but there are a lot of riding clauses associated with it. The excitement offered by the new dirt bike is immense, however, look out for safety primarily. Before you step out for your first ride, make sure to adhere to the riding guidelines that enhance safety as well as offers abundant adventure.

Mini dirtbikes are fun to explore with a course of action. Do not forget to wear your helmet every time when you go out for a ride. Safety gears such as boots, gloves and pads offer enhanced padding for a beginner at the same time it also offers a trendy look. So, don’t forget to consider the accessory gears. Before commencing your ride, make yourself comfortably positioned on the dirt bike. The right positioning allows you to touch the ground with your feet. Once you have made yourself comfortable on the dirt bike keep moving forward at a slower pace.

Gradually make yourself familiar and enjoy the ride. Slowly raise the dirt bike to the first gear. On clicking the gear stick for three to five times the bike gets onto the first gear. After arriving at the first gear, screw the throttle mildly to propel moving forward. Being a beginner, you will continue to ride slowly and wiggle to and fro around the streets. But once you gain expertise, the speed will improve. On progressing to higher speeds, the front wheel floats contributing to enhanced riding experience.

Practice dirt bike riding on a track for 20 minutes regularly. Continue to increase the speed little by little within your comfort levels. As you continue to ride, do not move your head or eyes as it might shift the focus. Slowly enhance your acceleration skills. On accelerating, the natural forces tend to push towards the back. When you are seated properly, you can easily encounter this backward pull and continue to travel forward. Press the footpegs down and back to offer control to move forward. The bike should travel straight during acceleration.

Learning to make a quick and smooth shift in the gear is a skill by itself. The three important tools involved making a frictionless shift include throttle, clutch and shifter. These three independent tools work together to provide one motion. Shutting the throttle, pulling the clutch, picking on the shifter simultaneously, offers a smooth and an instant shift in the gear. Once the new gear is chosen, let go of the clutch simultaneously and open the throttle. This skill has to be mastered until you achieve smooth and instant transition through the 3 gears.

Learn to brake at the right time. As acceleration forces push you in the reverse, braking forces tend to push forward. As a rule of thumb never allow these forces to interfere with handlebar control. Make sure to position yourself comfortably before applying a brake. As you apply the brake, continue to cuddle the gas tank using your legs to offer the right position to the body. Learn to apply a brake after accelerating to the third gear. In the case of bumpy roads, braking hard results in skidding. Hold the clutch at the right time and continue to adventure your ride.
